Marvel has unveiled the new Marvel Comics logo. Marvel has revealed that it has changed the account for Marvel Unlimited, an online subscription service operated by X, to MarvelComics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was designed as a sub-brand centered around the red brick logo introduced in the 2000s. Last February, the logo for the new Marvel Animation for X-Men '97, a retro X-Men animation released on Disney Plus, was released, and the same rule was applied to the logo for this comics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The red brick representing 'Marvel' is the same and the division is expressed in the font of the area that follows. With horizontal lines at the top and bottom and letters in between, Marvel Studios, Marvel Animation, and Marvel Comics are almost similar. The font size is bold in the order of comics, animation, and studio, and the animation section is in yellow. It's confusing because sub-brands are classified without rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fan reaction is cynical. The MTV-style logo used from 1990 to 2000 was greatly loved by fans. The yellow word 'Comics' sticking out against the strong M in the background gave it a lively feel, as if it came from a comic book speech bubble. It is said that the new logo has lost its individuality of expressing 'fun' and has forgotten its roots as a 'comics' and has been absorbed into the Marvel Cinema Universe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Negative cases of minimalism that do not reflect the brand's personality are increasing. It appears to be a strategy to unify and emphasize the Marvel brand, but the context and experience of movies, animations, and comic books seem to be very different.
