From April 15 to 21, 2024, the streets of Milan will be filled with design. A variety of brands participate, presenting fairs, exhibitions, installations, pop-ups, talks and workshops in spaces across the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Milan Design Week began in 1961 as a furniture fair called Salone del Mobile. Since its inception 60 years ago, it has grown into the world&#039;s largest furniture fair, with more than 2,300 companies participating. We focus on sustainability under the theme Materia Natura. It presents events, exhibitions and installations across the city with a focus on circular economy, reuse and sustainable materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most impressive thing is Design Space AIUIa, which has a desert-like impression. Designed by studio sabinemarcelis and CLOUD, the exhibition featured several objects and accessories, including a modular sofa system and biodegradable pots. Cultural practices were reinterpreted from various perspectives based on materials and traditional crafts. In the area divided by X, geometric patterns were depicted using raw materials such as brick, stone, slate, wood, and earth. It expresses well that inspiration comes from motifs taken from horseback riding and textures from nature. An interaction screen where atypical images take shape as the viewer passes by, five cubes with soft colors floating around, an installation that mixes virtuality and reality with a beam projector, and Samsung&#039;s technology, such as a bespoke product that became part of a huge tower. This is an interactive exhibition planned in collaboration with Chromasonic, an LA-based art research institute. You can step into one of the boxes, listen to the sound frequencies, and feel the rhythm and vibration with your whole body as the neon lights change with the beat. Inspired by the lightness of clouds, we expressed a natural flow. The way it sways in the wind is like a beautiful balloon. In particular, I think the exhibition is more attractive because it focuses on the human experience itself, which is difficult to measure quantitatively.
