Google released Google Doodle to celebrate its 25th anniversary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google Doodle is a way to hang a special anniversary or event on the front page of Google, the search engine. We transform our word mark \u2018Google\u2019 into various images or add Easter eggs such as mini games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sergey Brin and Larry Page met at Stanford University in the late 90s. I thought that the world would become more connected through the World Wide Web and that search engines would be important. With tireless development in a rented garage, Google Inc. was born on September 27, 1998. And now, 25 years later, we still maintain our mission to make information universally accessible and useful to billions of people around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google started out as a variation of Googol, which represents numbers. Initially under the temporary name BackRub for two years in 1995, it was always Google.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the logo used in Google's first beta version in 1997. Three-dimensional fluorescent colors were a color expression trend at the time. The color and three-dimensional feel remind me of adventure games that expressed pixels with fewer bits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1998, the official logo was written in colorful Baskerville boldface. Later the same year an exclamation point was added. Could it be that they were conscious of Yahoo? Gradients can now be expressed in more detail, creating a round and soft three-dimensional effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1999, it became thinner and softer with the Catull BQ serif typeface. It is characterized by an elegantly stretched thin font and serifs. The colors are the same, with the 'o' tilted slightly to the left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2010, shadows disappeared and saturation increased. It was a time when we were growing from a startup to a huge global company. The resolution has increased compared to before, creating a more natural three-dimensional effect. The advancement of technology is also evident in the logo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The color changes to minimalist in 2013. Google has worked hard to simplify the user experience. This is also reflected in the logo. Reduce visual representation of the logo to a minimum. With the advent of the mobile era, the design has changed to a flat design that is easier to display on small screens. The ends of the serifs have been elaborately refined. The gradient that expresses a three-dimensional effect has disappeared and saturation has been lowered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Changed to sans serif in 2015. All typefaces have been changed while maintaining the signature color scheme. It was created using Product Sans, a font similar to Muguet, created by Google. The logo has been applied in a variety of ways, including the 'G' used in mobile apps. The goal is to be seen as a young, cool technology company rather than a classic, huge company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is an exaggeration to say that Google's history has gone hand in hand with the growth of IT. It's refreshing to look back on Google's history. Google was synonymous with simple and useful services. Every time Google adds a new service, life changes. The cloud-based productivity tools, calendars, and maps that are now so familiar were a revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was able to feel the growth of Google, which has created such great innovations, through this short video. Although a long time has passed and the scale has grown enormous, I can see that the company has made an effort to never become a boring and evil company. It's interesting because it seems to contain the atmosphere and message of the time I was growing up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
