Tadao Ando, the architect of light, opens Korea's first solo exhibition 'Ando Tadao, Youth'. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the opening of Museum San, designed by Ando Tadao in 2005 at the request of Lee In-hee and Hansol Group Gomin. We exhibit 250 of his archives, represented by exposed concrete and thinly expressed natural objects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tadao Ando has emphasized that memorable architecture is more important than function. Museum SAN contains the philosophy of connecting the earth, sky, and people by connecting four structures in a square, triangular, and circular space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

'Youth' is the keyword for this exhibition. It is also a word that implies Tadao's own convictions and challenges. In solo exhibitions in other countries, the keyword was 'challenge', but this exhibition contains hope to move forward again in the process of going through a difficult time due to the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I thought of myself as an architect who designs buildings that make modern materials artificial but still connect with nature. I only know famous buildings in Japan and Jeju, but this exhibition makes me curious about the path he walked and the thoughts he came up with. In addition to the Tadao Ando exhibition, the Museum San is full of rich experiences such as the Paper Gallery and the James Turrell Hall, so get the strength to move forward again in the spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
