This is a character brand design project for the French-based brand KOREAN STREET. It was produced by STUDIO OKGO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chiky&Cheky is a character inspired by the rooster, a symbol of France, and chicken, one of Korea's representative foods. The character's color system utilizes a combination of red, blue, white, and black to simultaneously capture the images of the French flag and the Korean Taegeukgi. Rather than using national symbols directly, this approach naturally reinterprets them within a graphic language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The overall visuals focused on blending the unique energy of Seoul street culture with French street sensibility. The graphics utilize simple yet bold forms, while the character expressions and movements are infused with a playful and cheerful atmosphere. The structure connects the packaging, signage, merchandise, and digital content within the same character universe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The scope of the project is not limited to simple branding. It is expanding from collectible toys in the form of figures to games, ramen packaging, fashion items, and lifestyle goods. It is closer to an approach of creating a brand universe centered around the character rather than focusing on the character itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In particular, the graphic elements derived from Seoul's street culture stand out. Elements such as sticker culture, convenience store food, street fashion, and toy aesthetics have been organized into a single visual language. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
