KFC and Burger King recently put their fast-food rivalry to rest and show their friendship in a groundbreaking collaboration. The collaboration, called the 'BBF Burger', is being launched in France and features either KFC's signature fried chicken or Burger King's charcoal-grilled beef patty, topped with iceberg lettuce and cheddar cheese on a sesame seed bun. A plant-based alternative with a proprietary white BBQ sauce is also available.
At the center of the campaign is a hilarious ad featuring Burger King and KFC employees singing War’s “Why Can’t We Be Friends?” The brands are also spreading the message of unity by swapping their logos on social media. The two brands are calling this collaboration “the collaboration of the century,” and are showcasing a new marketing strategy that goes beyond competition.
